Dubai offers a full scope of different attractions for all age groups, and there’s something for everybody in Dubai. This vibrant metropolis is known for its hospitality and is a must-see for many travelers.
I haven’t yet been to Dubai, but it’s one of the destinations I’m considering for 2022. Dubai makes an excellent stopover location while you’re on your way to more far-flung destinations like the Maldives or Seychelles.
Are you wondering what there is to do in Dubai? Here are three (of many) activities to consider when traveling to Dubai.
Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour
With a Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour, you’ll have an elevated view of Dubai from the comfort of an open-top bus as it moves through the Emirate.
You’ll have the opportunity to see more than 40 different landmarks and points of interest. I know that one I definitely want to see is the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa.
Souk Madinat is a traditional Middle Eastern bazaar where you can shop for gifts and souvenirs.
The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago, shaped liked palm trees. Here’s a photo from the air.
The Dubai Marina is another place you might like to hop off.
You might also consider a stop at a wildlife sanctuary to watch exotic flamingos.
When I’m in a new city, I find that a hop-on hop-off bus tour is a great way to get an overview of the city, as well as convenient transportation to many of the landmarks I want to see. In Dubai, you can choose from different routes and packages.
Dhow Dinner Cruise
A dinner cruise on a dhow boat (a traditional Arab sailing vessel) is an ideal way to see the sights of Dubai from the water. The dinner cruise is scenic, and you can enjoy a tasty buffet. Most dinner cruises last about two hours. On a Dubai Creek cruise, you’ll set sail along this famous waterway that divides the downtown zone into two distinct banks. You’ll get the chance to see top nearby sights, including the National Bank of Dubai, the Chamber of Commerce Building, and various waterfronts.
Water Sports
Dubai’s location on the Persian Gulf offers makes it an ideal spot for travelers willing to try exhilarating water adventures. You might try paddleboarding, windsurfing, or a guided kayak tour. Classes are available and are both fun and instructional. Or perhaps you’d prefer to kick it up a notch and try out some motorized water sports, or extreme jet sports. There’s a huge variety of water sports available.
Of course, these are just a few of the many activities available on a trip to Dubai. Would you like me to help plan a trip to Dubai for you? Read how my services work here.
